Emotional Freedom Techniques
EFT™ is based on a revolutionary new discovery that violates most of the beliefs within conventional therapies. It contends that the cause of all negative emotions is due to a disruption in the body's energy system.
With remarkable consistency, EFT™ relieves symptoms by a seemingly strange but scientific routine that employs tapping with the fingers on various body locations. The tapping serves to balance the energy meridians that become disrupted when the client thinks about or becomes involved in an emotionally disturbing circumstance. Once balanced, the client cannot get upset about the circumstance no matter how hard they try. The actual memory stays but the emotion is gone.

BASIC EFT
Focus on what you want to work on or change about yourself, (see, feel, and hear yourself in that feeling / moment) and put a number on it (0-no problem and 10-a major problem). Then do the following sequence.
1. Rub sore area and say (This step only necessary if working on a spot that hurts) :
Even though I have this problem with ________________________________ I completely and totally accept myself. (Do and say this three times).
2. Tap on side of hand (just below pinky side were finger starts) and say:
Even though I have this problem with ________________________________ I completely and totally accept myself.
Even though I have this problem with ________________________________ I completely and totally accept myself.
Even though I have this problem with ________________________________ I completely and totally accept myself.
3. Then tap above the eye, more towards the nose side and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
4. Then tap at the side of the eye and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
5. Then tap under the eye and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
6. Then tap under the nose and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
7. Then tap under the lower lip and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
8. Then tap on the collar bone were it meets the chest and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
9. Then tap under the arm about 4” down mid chest and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
10. Then tap under the left breast (midline) and say:
Problem with _____________________________ (Do and say this three times)
Do this sequence several times until you fell better about the situation / feeling and then repeat the whole process (rubbing and tapping all the same spots) while humming happy birthday. Repeat as many times as you wish.
